Who Am I? Why Blog?

Who am I?  Simply put I'm a wife and a mom. I'm a daughter and a sister. I'm a Catholic.

Looking for more info?  Okay.  My name is Char.  I've been married to Michael for 9 years.  In a previous life I worked as a RN, but I am now at home full time.

We have 3 beautiful children through the gift of adoption.

This is Gianna.

She is 6 years old and enjoying Kindergarten.  Gianna was born in China and joined our family when she was 11 1/2 months old.

Dominic is 5 1/2.

We adopted Dominic at birth, and he is currently in preschool.

Bella is 2 1/2.

She joined our family when she was 5 days old.  While she is currently at home with me full time, she adamantly tells people she's in preschool.

I also said I am a daughter and a sister.  My parents live on the farm I grew up on and have been married for 50 years.  I have an older sister and 3 younger brothers.  I was born & raised Catholic.  My faith was not always very important to me, but it sure is now.  In fact I'm not sure how I'd get through each day without it.

Why blog?  Hmm.  Good question.  I had a blog once before, but it wasn't really much of a blog.  It was more a site where I posted photos for my family to see.  I'm not really sure what this blog will turn out to be.  Right now I'm hoping it'll be a place where I can write about my daily life and all that I can learn from it.  I've discovered that my roles in life (wife, mom, daughter, sister) are not always as easy as I thought they'd be.  I'm slowing learning that, if I let them, my day-to-day experiences can teach me a lot.  I'm working hard to be thankful for who I am, where I am at in life and what I have.  I am choosing to be thankful.
